EXAMPLE POSTS:
EXAMPLE 1 - Pro musician (me)
Hi everybody,
My name's Shen and I've been playing tabla for 13 years. I'm usually based in Brisbane but also visit India (Varanasi) and Japan for a few months every year. I perform and teach tabla regularly. Please visit my home page at http://www.ethnosuperlounge.com/shen/ for more info about me.
I'd really like to meet professional world music artists in a variety of styles, especially Indian classical, other Asian and African styles. My main consideration in playing with somebody is that they should be able to play at the acoustic level of tabla, and interact and improvise dynamically.
I'd also really really like to meet an artist working with electronic music, who can perform live, put life into their sounds, and interact with live musicians. I've been looking for someone who can do this for years but when I find the rare individual who can treat sampling technology as a live musical instrument, they are always too busy to give me time!
Please contact me by email at shen@ethnosuperlounge.com if you'd like to meet up and have a jam, or discuss performance opportunities.
